สายพานที่ใส่มา ไม่ใช่ของแท้ และ ติดตั้งไม่ถูกต้อง ทั้งตำแหน่งการใส่ที่คลาดเคลื่อน และแรงตึงที่มากเกินไป ทำให้ผิวหน้าของสายพานเกิดการเสียดสีอย่างรุนแรง จนถึงขั้น ละลายไปเคลือบกับลูกปืนดันสายพาน สร้างความเสียหายตามมา
สายพานราวลิ้น อาจจะดูเหมือนแค่ “ชิ้นส่วนหนึ่ง” ที่ไม่เห็นจากภายนอก แต่ความจริงแล้ว มันคือหัวใจสำคัญของการควบคุมจังหวะเครื่องยนต์
หากเปลี่ยนผิดชิ้น หรือใส่ผิดขั้นตอน แม้จะดูเหมือนไม่ส่งผลในทันที

“Timing Belt” Replaced… But Why Is There Still a Problem?

Recently, a valued customer brought in their beloved Ducati to Ducati Bangkhae after noticing unusual symptoms: the engine struggled to accelerate and jerked oddly when starting off. This was surprising, as the previous owner had confirmed that the timing belt had been replaced not long ago.

Upon thorough inspection by our technical team, the true cause was discovered.

The timing belt that had been installed was not genuine and had been improperly fitted — both in terms of alignment and tension. The incorrect installation caused severe friction on the surface of the belt, to the point that it melted and fused with the tensioner bearing, leading to further damage.

Although the timing belt may appear to be just another “hidden component,” it is, in fact, a critical part of the engine’s timing system.

Installing the wrong part or following incorrect procedures might not show immediate effects, but such mistakes can lead to long-term engine damage.
